Organist

Ian is also an experienced and well-known organist and has had over thirty years experience as an organist. He has studied the organ with Ian Tracey (Liverpool Cathedral) and John Scott (until recently Organist at St. Paul’s Cathedral). He holds Fellowship diplomas in organ playing from various colleges of music and has held many prestigious posts as an organist including Organist to the Cathedral Singers of Christ Church, Oxford, where he accompanied the choir for regular services, concerts and tours.
Ian is currently School Organist and teacher of Piano and Organ at St. Edward’s School, Cheltenham and is in demand both as a recitalist and as an accompanist.

Organ Recitals Include:

Westminster Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral Oxford, Magdalen College Oxford, St. Asaph Cathedral, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, St. David’s Cathedral, Hereford Cathedral, Tewkesbury Abbey, Cheltenham Town Hall, Cheltenham College, Christ Church, Cheltenham and All Saints Cheltenham. Ian has also recorded various albums of Organ music.

Ian holds various Fellowship Diplomas in Organ playing.
